This simple recipe is perfect for those who have never worked with yeast at home before
2
Start by mixing the dry yeast with sugar (about 1 tablespoon) and pour warm water over the mixture. The temperature should not exceed 38-40 degrees Celsius. Stir, cover with a lid, and let it sit in a warm place for about 5 minutes. This will create a yeast starter
3
After the time has passed, return to the yeast starter and add the remaining sugar, salt, and vegetable oil. Mix well and start adding the sifted flour, kneading it in gently. Place the yeast dough in a buttered form, cover it with a towel made of natural materials, and leave it in a warm place for an hour to allow it to rise. * When the dough for the buns is ready, it should almost not stick to your hands
4
After an hour, return to the dough, knead it again, and let it sit for another 5 minutes. In the meantime, mix the sugar and cinnamon for the future filling. Now roll out a layer no more than 5-7 mm thick and brush it with butter, sprinkling the sugar and cinnamon mixture on top
5
To create a beautiful shape for the buns at home, fold the ends of the dough toward the center. Then fold it in half again, bringing the edges back to the center. Cut the “sausage” into pieces about 5 cm thick each. Then press down on the middle along the length of each piece and pull the edges, turning the filling outward. Secure the ends however you find convenient; we recommend tucking them underneath. The resulting buns are already very aromatic and look like they were made in a bakery
6
Arrange them all on parchment paper on a baking sheet and let them sit for 5 minutes. Bake the homemade buns in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at a temperature no higher than 180 degrees Celsius
To master this simple recipe, all you need is a little time and carefulness when shaping the perfect buns. Brew a fragrant tea, transfer the pastries to a tray, and invite your loved ones to the table. Enjoy the incredibly tender and airy layers of perfectly prepared yeast dough combined with cinnamon. Delicious, right? Cook for your loved ones more often and with love! With care for you, UE “Borisovskiy kombinat hleboproduktov”
