The most exquisite store-bought bread cannot compare to the fragrant and crispy bread prepared at home. In our own kitchen, we invest all our love and energy into the process of making homemade baked goods. It’s challenging to find time for such simple things as making bread nowadays, but even if you have a bread machine, try kneading the dough by hand. It won’t take much time and will significantly change your perception of the product. Remember: bread is the head of everything. We have chosen a simple recipe for wholesome homemade bread. To prepare the base, you will need:
Dissolve the yeast in a small amount of warm water (the temperature should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius). After about 10 minutes, add salt, sugar, olive oil, or vegetable oil, and mix everything gently
2
Begin to incorporate the flour into the mixture. It’s best to do this gradually while constantly stirring. Knead the dough until it becomes soft and dense
3
Depending on the type of flour you use, you may need more or less. The lower the gluten content, the more flour may be required. However, the difference is usually small, typically around 40-50 grams
4
Shape the dough into a ball and place it in a container previously greased with oil. Cover it with plastic wrap on top. Leave it for about 30 minutes, during which the dough should double in size
5
You can leave the dough in a warm place to rise for longer if needed.
Just make sure to punch it down and cover it with plastic wrap again
every half hour. It’s not recommended to do this more than three times,
as the dough may become too tight, resulting in less airy bread
6
After the allotted time, take out the dough, punch it down, and shape it into a loaf or baton. You can also make small rolls if you prefer individual portions. If you want your homemade bread to have the appearance of store-bought bread, you can make cuts on top of the dough. Place the finished products on parchment paper and let them rest for an additional 20-25 minutes. You can lightly spray or brush the top with water or milk
7
Preheat the oven to 200 degrees Celsius (392 degrees Fahrenheit). It’s crucial to ensure that the oven is properly preheated, as inadequate preheating can lead to uneven baking
8
Bake the products for 20-25 minutes or until the top develops a golden crust. Then, remove the baked goods from the oven and allow them to cool on a wire rack
9
