Prepare all the ingredients for the recipe: leave the butter at room temperature to soften. Grate the orange zest using a fine grater, and mix the spices – ginger, ground cinnamon, cocoa powder and vanilla, along with the baking powder, in a bowl
2
Mix the softened butter with the eggs, sugar and honey until smooth
3
Combine the dry and wet ingredients, kneading the dough thoroughly. Wrap the finished dough in plastic wrap and chill it in the refrigerator for 30 minutes
4
Once the chilled dough is ready, roll it out into a sheet with a thickness of no more than seven millimeters, then cut out the shapes you prefer
5
Bake the shapes on parchment paper in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 25 minutes, adjusting the baking time according to your oven’s power
6
Once the gingerbread shapes are done, decorate them with icing. To make the icing, take an egg white, 100 grams of powdered sugar and optionally one gram of food coloring. For a pure white icing, beat the egg white while gradually adding powdered sugar, and optionally incorporate the food coloring
