Wheat flour of the highest grade

Method of preparation

To make the pie, prepare the jam: in a deep bowl, place a cup of jam and add 1 teaspoon of baking soda, mix, and leave for 5 minutes. This method allows the soda to react with the acidity of the jam. The mixture will foam up, change color to a lighter shade, and increase in volume. After that, you can add the remaining ingredients

Add 50-70 grams of sugar, stirring slightly. Then add a cup of kefir, eggs, and mix well until you have a homogeneous mixture

Gradually add flour to the mixture and mix well. Add flour depending on the consistency of the jam: if it’s thick, you’ll need less flour; if it’s liquid, you’ll need more. The batter should be of a slightly liquid consistency, similar to thick sour cream

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit)

Line the bottom of the baking dish with parchment paper and grease it with butter. If using a silicone mold, there’s no need for parchment paper; just grease it with butter and lightly sprinkle with flour or semolina

Pour the batter into the baking dish, level it well, and bake it in the preheated oven for about 1 hour. Do not allow temperature fluctuations, as the batter may settle. Once the pie is ready, remove it from the oven and let it cool completely before removing it from the mold. Dust it with powdered sugar using 2-3 tablespoons
